Newsflash

I have always been really concerned on Education as Innovation promoter and sustainability creator not just for a company but for a country and the world. However my opinion on Education is not merely based on the way of traditional approaches. This article is a reprint from this one originally published in Harvard Business School blog named: HOW TO FIX BUSINESS SCHOOLS, A MANIFESTO FOR B-SCHOOLS, BY RAKESH KHURANA AND SCOTT SNOOK. A New Era of Leadership - From Hierarchy to Network

The following presentation on How social media and digital environments are changing management, collaboration and organizations, is one of my favorites. It was made by Pasi Mäenpää: Executive Vice President, Corporate Customers/ Elisa at Elisa ICT Forum 2010, Helsinki, Finland, Europe ( More information can be found here as well http://www.elisa.com/en/ and http://www.dicole.com).

Different topics such as theory of transaction costs, how the Internet reduces the decentralization-centralization transaction costs axis cloud company, communications paradigms, etc, are carefully discussed with a blend of brick-and-mortars-corporate-matters and external factors references that permeate the company in an every day more hyper competitive world.

To my opinion these insights made by Pasi Mäenpää can clear out the clouds and pave the way in order to create more "networked-sustainability" therefore leading us to believe European entrepreneurs are and have been definitely the basis of global economy denying in this way what Mr. Eric Schmidt is saying about Europe must embrace 'crazy entrepreneurs', i really don't think the Larry Ellisons, the Steve Jobses, the Bill Gates are the founders of the large global companies, most of these companies that are 100% Americans are not sustainable compared to those that are so are one way or another drunk from European education model where those CEOs mentioned above would be drop-outs. Remember Peter Drucker was not American at all and most of the teachings from most Business Schools come from European Business Schools that are much much older than Harvard.
